How do I share the same Fortora Fresh Finance for Windows data between multiple users/computers?

Fortora Fresh Finance supports multiple users sharing the same financial data. To enable this functionality, save an existing Fortora Fresh Finance data file you previously created to a shared folder (i.e. the Shared Documents or Public Documents folder), via the File->Save As menu option. Now multiple users of the computer can open the file and work on it (via the File->Open Remote File menu option). To make the data accessible through a network, make sure to enable network file sharing/write access to the shared folder.

• Right-click on the Shared Documents folder and select Properties.
• Click on the Sharing tab and turn on the following options: Share this folder on the network and Allow network users to change my files.
• Click OK.
• Now users over the network can open the data file via the File->Open Remote File menu option.

• Click Start and right click on Network and select Properties.
• Under the Sharing and Discovery section, turn on File sharing, and click Apply.
• Under the Public folder sharing section, select the option: Turn on sharing so anyone with network access can open, change, and create files.
• Click Apply.
• Now users over the network can open the data file via the File->Open Remote File menu option.

*It is not recommended that the data file be accessed simultaneously over the network by multiple computers because any modifications made may be lost.

*Alternatively, you can copy your data file to a network attached storage device instead of sharing the file directly from your computer.
